20 Romantic Valentine’s Day Recipes

So my favorite holiday is right around the corner, Valentine’s Day and you know how much I love to prepare dinner menus for this day – I mean I am hosting a cooking class for it :)! To help you put together the perfect three course meal, plus drink option, I’ve compiled a list of 20 scrumptious recipes that pair well together. From vegetarian, meat lover or pescatarian options, I have it all. Hope you enjoy my selections and hope you have the most romantic day with your loved one(s).

Appetizers: The key to any successful 3 course meal is to have a variety of options that will all complement well with one another. I like to keep it simple and add a few green options – salads are the perfect starters – however a soup will always compliment well.

Main Meal: This is not the day to prepare a chicken dish. As much as I love chicken, my go-to’s for a decadent Valentine Day dinner are seafood or a great steak. Filet Mignon or a Scallops go well with most appetizer options. For the vegetarians, you can’t go wrong with my delicious Tortellini Pasta.

Desserts: For any 3 course meal, adding a chocolate or sweet fruit dessert will always work. Both complement most meals and are not too filling which will make for the perfect meal. However, one must not forget Valentine’s Day morning. Surprising your loved ones with breakfast pancakes or just a sweet snack will always make your loved ones feel special throughout the day.

Drinks: If you know me, you know I have a drink for every occasion. For this Valentine’s Day, I have my sweet and decadent Love Buzz cocktail. If you are more of martini drinker, the Chocolate Martini is the way to go! It’s my favorite but any of the above selections will be perfect for celebrating.

Lastly, depending on the weather and your location, there are fabulous, romantic things to do both indoors and out. Here are some ideas:

Sign up for a couples’ cooking or chocolate-making class. It’s fun and you get a delicious take-away.

Laugh away the stress of everyday life by escaping to a comedy show.

Visit a museum to enjoy beautiful works of art or head to an aquarium to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Enjoy a couple’s massage followed by cocktails and dinner at your favorite place.  Or make a special dinner at home just for the two of you – complete with his/her favorite things and some new ideas with a Valentine’s touch.
