Citrus Cheer Mocktail
Ingredients
- 2 ounces pomegranate juice
- ½ fresh blood or navel orange, juiced
- ½ fresh lime, juiced
- 2 ounces ginger beer
- ice, for serving
- Garnish Ideas:
- 1-2 sprigs fresh mint or thyme
- lime + orange slices
- sugared cranberries, recipe below
- Sugared Cranberries:
- 2 cups granulated sugar, divided
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
Instructions
- Fill each glass ¾ full with ice. Pour in juices and stir well to combine.
- Top with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh herbs, slices of lime + orange, and sugared cranberries, if using. Enjoy!
- Sugared Cranberries:
- Bring ½ cup water and ½ cup sugar to a boil until the sugar is dissolved, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly. Stir in the cranberries and let the cranberries sit in the sugar water for 1-2 hour or overnight. Strain the cranberries really well, then add them to a parchment lined cookie sheet with sides. Add the remaining 1½ cups sugar and gently toss until all the cranberries are coated in sugar. Allow the cranberries to dry, in a single layer for at least one hour.
Notes
Boozy Option #1
Add 2 ounces of vodka and ½ ounce of St. Germaine (elderflower liqueur) along with the the fruit juices and top with ginger beer.
Boozy Option #2
Follow above mocktail recipe and top with 2 ounces of champagne or Prosecco.
