Strawberry + Vanilla Milkshake

Servings 2 Servings

  • Strawberry Syrup:
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 cups strawberries, washed and chopped
  • Milkshake:
  • ¼ cup strawberry syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup fresh chopped strawberries

  • Strawberry Syrup:
  • Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat; stir until sugar is dissolved. Mix strawberries into saucepan and bring to a boil; boil for 5-6 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until strawberries are mushy and sauce is thick, about 10 minutes. Cool and strain into milkshake glasses (refrigerate any leftover syrup). Transfer glasses (with the syrup) to the freezer while you prepare milkshakes.
  • Milkshake:
  • Add milk, ice cream, and vanilla to blender and blend just until ingredients are all combined. Divide mixture and fill each milkshake glass. Add fresh chopped strawberries. Enjoy!
