Valentine’s Chex Mix
Looking for a fun and easy Valentine’s Day activity? Make this sweet and salty Valentine’s Chex Mix with the kids- it’s the perfect snack for both kids and adults to enjoy!
What I love most? How simple it is to make! I’m all for fancy, multi-step recipes, but let’s be real, sometimes the best things come together in just a few minutes with minimal cleanup. With Valentine’s Chex Mix, it’s a couple of easy steps, and you’ve got yourself a snack that you can enjoy all day long. You can even create little treat bags for a classroom party or sprinkle it on top of a bowl of ice cream!
Plus, it’s a fun, family-friendly activity! The kids love helping, especially when it comes to pouring the cereal and “accidentally” sneaking a handful of candy melts. And while it’s technically a Valentine’s treat, I’ll admit, I make this all year round- just swapping out the M&M’s to match the season. It’s too good not to!

Valentine’s Chex Mix
Ingredients
- 3 cups Cheerios
- 3 cups Rice Chex
- 3 cups Wheat Chex
- 2 cup Corn Chex
- 1 cup mini pretzel’s
- 3 cups Valentine’s edition M&M’s
- 2 (12-ounce) bags white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine the cereals, pretzels, and M&M’s and mix well,
- Add white chocolate chips and coconut oil to a bowl and stir. Place the bowl in the microwave, and heat in short 30-second bursts, stirring thoroughly between each burst until the chocolate is completely melted; be careful not to overheat, as chocolate can easily burn.
- Lay the cereal on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cereal mix and combine to coat all of the pieces evenly. Let dry for 1 hour, or until the chocolate is cooled and hard. Break it up into pieces and store it in an airtight container. Enjoy!
