Basil Infused Berries
Ingredients
- Berries:
- 4 cups mixed fresh berries such as strawberries blackberries or blueberries
- 2 teaspoons granulated or raw cane sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped
- Lemon Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream, chilled
- 2 tablespoons granulated or raw cane sugar
- 2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Berries:
- In a large bowl, add the berries, sugar, and basil and gently stir to combine. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
- Lemon Whipped Cream:
- Place bowl, whisk and cream in freezer for 5-10 minutes.
- Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, whip the heavy cream, sugar, lemon juice, and zest on medium-high speed until medium peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
- Serve immediately with marinated berries. Enjoy!
