Teacher Gift Ideas from the Heart
Back to school is almost here! We know the little and big ones are jumping for joy to connect with their friends and favorite teachers. To show appreciation for the dedication and commitment teachers offer to our children, I’ve provided a list of fun teacher gift ideas that are sure to make the teachers in your life feel special. Our teachers are national treasures and they’re critical to the development of society. As we all know: “It takes a village.†It’s nice to reward them for all their hard work once in a while – we know it’s not easy!
Think Practical
Teachers have to talk…a lot!  Personalize a mug for tea or coffee or a water bottle. Use lovely colors and inscribe with the teacher’s name, school name, her/his favorite saying or something teacher-themed.
Gift cards are always welcome, especially if they can be used anywhere. Or you can go the extra mile and find out the teacher’s favs (restaurants, things to do, places to go) and get a gift card specific to her/his likes.
Buy school supplies for the upcoming year. Teachers spend a lot of their own money on supplies and classroom needs. Why not lighten the load so they can gift themselves something with their extra cash?
Think Personal
Relaxing gifts, like scented candles and bath salts, are thoughtful. Still, you may want to ask the teacher about any allergies or preferred scents.
Create a gift basket with homemade goodies that you and your child create together. Think baked goods, cards, crafts, bookmarks, photo albums and sweet classroom video montages.
Make a donation in your teacher’s name to a charity that is meaningful to him/her.
Fill a coffee mug or tote bag (which can also be personalized) with your teacher’s favorite treats, like lotions and body crèmes, candies, movie passes or even a plant.
These thoughtful, A-grade gift ideas are items your teachers will cherish, but they won’t break the bank. And remember that a gift from the heart shows how much you appreciate your teachers’ commitment and dedication to education and your child.
