Strawberry Rose Sangria

  1. Herb Infused Simple Syrup-
  2. ½ cup sugar
  3. ½ cup water
  4. 1 bunch fresh herbs (rosemary, basil or mint)
  5. Sangria-
  6. 1 bottle (750 ml) rose wine, chilled
  7. ⅓ cup brandy
  8. 2 cups strawberries, quartered or sliced
  9. 1 lemon, diced
  10. 1 orange, sliced
  11. 1 cup club soda or ginger ale or ½ cup of each, chilled
  1. To make the simple syrup combine water and sugar in small saucepan. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Turn off heat and add fresh herbs. Let cool, pour mixture in a glass container and refrigerate 6-8 hours. Discard herbs and store up to 1 month (perfect for cocktails, tea, lemonade, desserts...).
  2. Mix the wine, liqueur and simple syrup in a pitcher. Add the fruit and refrigerate at least 1 hour and up to 1 day.
  3. Add the seltzer/ginger ale just before serving and garnish with extra herbs. Enjoy
