Cocoa Krispie Treat Balls
Ingredients
- Chocolate sauce:
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- Rice Krispie Treats:
- cooking spray
- 3 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 10-ounce package of mini marshmallows
- 6 cups cocoa krispies cereal
Instructions
- Chocolate Sauce:
- Place the chocolate in a glass or metal bowl.
- Combine the cream and corn syrup in a small heavy nonreactive saucepan and bring to a simmer. Pour the liquid over the chocolate and allow it to sit for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the chocolate has melted. Whisk to combine. Allow the sauce to cool slightly. Set Aside.
- Rice Krispie Treats:
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat, then immediately pour in rice krispies cereal and gently stir and fold with a spatula until cereal is evenly coated. Let mixture cool slightly (until it’s cool enough to handle with your hands).
- Spray hands with non-stick cooking spray then shape cereal mixture into small balls. Transfer to prepared sheet pan. Drizzle with chocolate sauce. Set for at least an hour. Enjoy!
