Cava Sangria

Cava Sangria

Servings 6 Servings

Ingredients
  

  • 1 red or green apple or ½ of each color, thinly sliced and cut into matchsticks
  • ¼ cup white grape juice
  • 2 tablespoons brandy or apple brandy
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup or 1½ tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 1 750-ml bottle Spanish cava chilled
  • ice cubes, for serving
  • fresh herbs of your choice, optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large pitcher, combine apples, white grape juice, brandy, and simple syrup/sugar. Chill at least 1 hour. Can be made 3 hours ahead. Cover; keep chilled.
  • Pour cava over the apple mixture. Stir to blend. Ladle sangria into ice-filled glasses. Enjoy!
