1red or green apple or ½ of each color, thinly sliced and cut into matchsticks
¼cupwhite grape juice
2tablespoonsbrandy or apple brandy
2tablespoonssimple syrup or 1½ tablespoons of granulated sugar
1 750-mlbottle Spanish cava chilled
ice cubes,for serving
fresh herbs of your choice,optional garnish
Instructions
In a large pitcher, combine apples, white grape juice, brandy, and simple syrup/sugar. Chill at least 1 hour. Can be made 3 hours ahead. Cover; keep chilled.
Pour cava over the apple mixture. Stir to blend. Ladle sangria into ice-filled glasses. Enjoy!
