Monte Cristo Bites

Servings 6 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Biscuits, 8ct.
  • ½ pound of sliced cooked ham, cut into small cubes
  • ½ pound of sliced cooked turkey, cut into small cubes
  • ½ pound of sliced fontina cheese, cubed or grated
  • ½ pound of sliced cheddar cheese, cubed or grated
  • powdered sugar, for garnish
  • Guava-Raspberry Sauce: (for dipping)
  • 1 cup raspberry preserves
  • 3 tablespoons guava marmalade
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/ teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350º F. Line an 18” x 13” sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • Flatten out each biscuit and cut it into three equal parts. Add turkey, ham, and both cheeses on each biscuit piece. Fold dough around the filling and roll with the palm of your hand to smooth out. Repeat until done and place on prepared sheet pan. Transfer to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until each biscuit bite is golden in color.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine raspberry preserves, guava marmalade, salt, and black pepper. Set aside until ready to use.
  • Remove sheet pan from the oven. Place each Montecristo bite in a serving plate and sprinkle powdered sugar all over the warm bites. Serve immediately with the guava-raspberry dipping sauce. Enjoy!
